Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010 Schedule 2) s35: s 35 Do not use bait advertising: advertised specials must be available in reasonable quantity and period

A business must not advertise goods or services at a specified price if there are reasonable grounds, of which it is or ought to be aware, for believing it will not be able to offer them at that price for a reasonable period and in reasonable quantities having regard to its market and the advertisement. Having advertised at a specified price, it must actually offer them at that price for a reasonable period and in reasonable quantities.
