Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010 Schedule 2) s29: s 29(1)(a) to (l) Do not make false or misleading representations about goods or services

A business must not, in trade or commerce, in connection with supplying or promoting goods or services, make a false or misleading representation that: goods are of a particular standard, quality, value, grade, composition, style or model, or have a particular history or previous use; services are of a particular standard, quality, value or grade; goods are new; a particular person has agreed to acquire them; goods or services have sponsorship, approval, performance characteristics, accessories, uses or benefits; the business has a sponsorship, approval or affiliation; or concerning price, availability of repair facilities or spare parts, place of origin, or the need for the goods or services.
