A C/CSP that finds a material volume of suspected scam calls in traffic from another provider sends the details to the originating or delivering transit provider for investigation as soon as practicable, by the agreed electronic means, copying the ACMA. The notification follows the Appendix A format and states the timestamp (with its UTC offset), the CLI used, the count of calls in the period, and further evidence on request (complaints, call characteristics, call records). Recipients acknowledge receipt, transit providers forward the notification upstream until the originating provider or international operator is reached, confirmed cases go to the ACMA on the Appendix B template, and a finding that the calls were legitimate is returned down the chain to the notifying provider.
