Part 2: Types of Employment and Classifications – Australia Plumbing and Fire Sprinklers Award 2020 (MA000036)

Australia Plumbing and Fire Sprinklers Award 2020 (MA000036) 14: Clause 14 and Schedule A: classify each employee under the Schedule A definitions

The classification levels that carry the clause 18 minimum rates are defined in Schedule A. The employer must place each employee at the level that matches the Schedule A definition of their skills, training, competencies and supervision, from Worker Level 1(a) new entrant through to Advanced Tradesperson Level 2, and move them up when they meet the training, assessment or experience requirements for a higher level (A.1.10). Schedule A.2.3 makes clear that a classification does not authorise work that needs a certificate or registration the employee does not hold.
