Suspending or cancelling a training agreement is permitted only by mutual consent, or where the employer, because of lack of orders or financial difficulty, cannot find suitable work for the apprentice and no transfer to a different employer can be arranged. A trainee apprenticeship may be ended by either party on notice of 2 weeks or the NES notice period, whichever is longer.
