Australia Model Work Health and Safety Regulations r43: r 43 Prepare, maintain, test and implement an emergency plan

A PCBU ensures an emergency plan is prepared for the workplace providing for emergency procedures (an effective response, evacuation, notifying emergency services at the earliest opportunity, medical treatment and assistance, and effective communication between the person coordinating the response and everyone at the workplace), testing of the procedures and its frequency, and information, training and instruction for relevant workers; maintains the plan so it stays effective, having regard to the work, hazards, size, location and people present; and implements it in an emergency.
