Australia Model Work Health and Safety Regulations
Part 3.2: General workplace management – Australia Model Work Health and Safety Regulations
Australia Model Work Health and Safety Regulations r44: r 44 Provide suitable, well-fitting, maintained PPE, ensure it is used, and train in its use
Where PPE is used to minimise a risk, the PCBU directing the work provides it to workers (unless another PCBU such as a labour hire company has), and ensures it is selected to be suitable for the work and hazards and a suitable size, fit and reasonably comfortable for the wearer, is maintained, repaired or replaced so it keeps minimising the risk (clean, hygienic, in good working order), and is used or worn so far as reasonably practicable; and gives workers information, training and instruction on its proper use and wearing, storage and maintenance. No charge or levy may be imposed for it (s 273 of the Act).
This control maps to 1 controls across 1 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.
