Part 7.1: Hazardous chemicals – Australia Model Work Health and Safety Regulations

Australia Model Work Health and Safety Regulations r341-343: rr 341 to 343 PCBUs keep hazardous chemicals, decanted containers and pipe work correctly labelled

A PCBU ensures hazardous chemicals used, handled or stored at the workplace are correctly labelled under r 335 (with transitional allowances for older NOHSC and GHS 3 labels), that chemicals manufactured at the workplace or transferred or decanted from their original container are correctly labelled, that containers storing hazardous chemicals stay correctly labelled so far as reasonably practicable while they contain the chemical, that a container labelled for a hazardous chemical is used only for that chemical (except containers used immediately and then thoroughly cleaned), and that chemicals in pipe work are identified by a label, sign or other means on or near the pipe work so far as reasonably practicable.
