Australia Model Work Health and Safety Regulations r221: r 221 Tree lopping using a crane and harness

A person may be lifted into a tree by crane in a harness (a work positioning harness certified to AS/NZS 1891.1:2020 for lifting a person) instead of a work box only where a risk assessment shows no greater risk than specifically designed plant or climbing, the arborist is competent in the harness, the crane has safety mechanisms preventing inadvertent falls, and the arborist stays in visual, audio or radio contact with the crane operator.
