Australia Model Work Health and Safety Regulations r193-194: rr 193 and 194 Manufacturers: manufacture, inspect and test to the design; resolve design hazards; guarding

A manufacturer manufactures and inspects plant having regard to the designer's information and tests it where that information requires; if it finds a design hazard with no control measure, it does not incorporate the hazard, notifies the designer in writing as soon as practicable and consults on altering the design, and does not manufacture until the designer revises the information or instructs it under r 188, or, if the designer cannot be informed, it eliminates or minimises the risk itself. Guarding it fits is of solid construction, securely mounted, removable for maintenance and cleaning when the plant is not operating, with restart prevented until replaced.
