Australia Model Code of Practice: Safe Design of Structures 1.4a: 1.4 Apply the risk management process to structure design

Risks from the design of structures are managed by identifying hazards, assessing risks where necessary (not needed for known risks with known controls), eliminating risks so far as reasonably practicable, controlling those that remain by the most effective measures reasonably practicable in line with the hierarchy of control measures and keeping them effective, and reviewing controls to confirm they work as planned. The model Code of Practice on how to manage work health and safety risks gives the detailed process.
