Australia Model Code of Practice: How to Manage Work Health and Safety Risks
Section 4: Step 3, control risks – Australia Model Code of Practice: How to Manage Work Health and Safety Risks

Australia Model Code of Practice: How to Manage Work Health and Safety Risks 4.2a: 4.2 Source control information and develop specific controls from the chain of events

Information on suitable controls for common hazards is available from codes of practice and guidance, manufacturers and suppliers, and industry associations and unions. Recommended controls may be used if they suit the situation and eliminate or minimise the risk. If published information does not fit, specific controls should be developed from the chain of events recorded in the assessment, asking for each event what can be done to stop or change it.
