The most important step is to eliminate risks so far as reasonably practicable, or if that is not reasonably practicable to minimise them so far as reasonably practicable. Affected workers and their representatives must be consulted on how to control the risk. Duty holders must consider the options and choose the control, or combination of controls, that most effectively eliminates or minimises the risk in the circumstances. Easy fixes should be made at once, and harder ones prioritised with the highest risks first. The Regulations require some risks to be managed in a set way, such as falls from height, or set matters the PCBU must consider, such as psychosocial risks and hazardous manual tasks.
The graph holds this control, the 0 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
