Australia Life Insurance Code of Practice (CALI Life Code) 5.8-5.11: Three months' notice of benefit period expiry, definition changes and benefit reductions; group claim contacts

An income claimant is told at least three months before the last payment when the benefit period is expiring, given three months' notice of a change in the assessment definition after a stated period with the option to start the assessment early, and given three months' notice before an insured benefit reduces other than through offsets or partial payments. For group policy claims the insurer or the group owner tells the claimant who will help and whom to contact, and the two agree what the owner receives.
