The employer must classify each employee under Schedule A (introductory level, levels 1 to 6 across the food and beverage, kitchen, guest service, front office, leisure, store, security and gardening streams, the casino gaming stream and Managerial staff (Hotels)) and may require duties across streams that the employee is competent to perform. An employee remains at introductory level for no more than 3 months while trained and assessed, moving to level 1 unless both agree to up to 3 more months of training. An employee with a relevant Certificate III who uses those skills is at least Level 4.
