Part 2: Types of Employment – Australia Electrical, Electronic and Communications Contracting Award 2020 (MA000025)

Australia Electrical, Electronic and Communications Contracting Award 2020 (MA000025) 12.7: 12.7 Keep an apprentice's probation to the contract term and no more than 3 months

The probationary period for an apprentice is the one fixed by the apprentice's training agreement or apprenticeship contract, in line with the authority's requirements and State law, and it can never be longer than 3 months. A longer probation in the employer's general employment template therefore cannot be applied to an apprentice.
