General information about transport services provided by an operator or provider, including timetables, routes, fares, payment methods, next stop and next service information, must be accessible to all passengers and may not be provided solely online. Where information cannot be given in a passenger's preferred format the operator or provider must give equivalent access by direct assistance; infrequently requested formats must be provided in a timely manner if not immediately available, with direct assistance until the request is met. When a passenger asks for a document in large print the operator or provider must reproduce it in a font of at least 18 point, sans serif and semi-bold or bold, left justified with a ragged right margin, in black on a light background or with at least 75% luminance contrast. An operator or provider must ensure all passengers have the same level of access to information on their whereabouts during a journey. The online-only ban and the timely-format duties apply to all operators and providers after the 5-year transitional period.
