Arizona Air Quality Regulations (ADEQ / ARS Title 49 / AAC Title 18 Chapter 2) R18-2-312: R18-2-312: conduct performance tests

Within 60 days of reaching maximum sustained production, and no later than 180 days after initial start-up (and when the director requires), the owner must performance test a permitted source and report the results in writing, using Arizona Testing Manual methods unless the director approves otherwise, under representative conditions the director specifies (not startup, shutdown or malfunction). The director must get two weeks' notice to observe. The owner must provide sampling ports, safe platforms and access, and utilities. Each test is three runs averaged (two with approval if a run is lost); stopping without good cause after the first run is a failed test. Extensions for force majeure need prompt written notice with the cause, mitigation and a proposed date, and remain at the director's discretion.
