Arizona Air Quality Regulations (ADEQ / ARS Title 49 / AAC Title 18 Chapter 2) R18-2-310.01: R18-2-310.01: report excess emissions within 24 and 72 hours

The owner or operator of any source must report emissions above the Chapter's or the permit's limits: by telephone or fax within 24 hours of first learning of them, with all available information, and by a detailed written excess emissions report within 72 hours of that notice, giving each stack or emission point, the magnitude in the units of the limit with data and calculations, time and duration, the equipment, the nature and cause, steps to remedy and prevent a malfunction, steps to limit the excess, and steps taken under any permit startup or malfunction procedures. Continuous or recurring excess emissions may be reported once with an estimated duration, updated if it is exceeded or the emissions change. Registered sources may report to qualify for the defence.
