Aged Care Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS) Provider Guidance rep-sexual: Report unlawful sexual contact or inappropriate sexual conduct

This includes any conduct or contact of a sexual nature by an aged care worker, including sexual assault, indecent acts, sharing an intimate image and touching private areas without care need, and any non-consensual sexual contact or conduct by anyone, including another resident, plus grooming to make sexual contact easier. Consensual contact with someone who is not an aged care worker of the provider is excluded; capacity to consent is assessed carefully for people with cognitive impairment.
