The employer must ensure relevant employees (entrants, those with a function in the work or emergency procedures, and their supervisors) receive information, instruction and training on: the hazards of the confined space; why risk controls are needed and how to use them properly; selecting, using, fitting, testing and storing PPE; the contents of any entry permit relevant to them; and the emergency procedures (s 21).
