The employer must monitor airborne lead dust, mist or fume concentrations at its workplace if there are reasonable grounds for doubt about whether airborne lead is, or could be, above the lead exposure standard, or where monitoring is needed to establish whether health is at risk. The duty supports section 22(1) of the Act.
