A person holding a notice of assessment (satisfactory) may do the work the notice covers for 60 days from the date the notice was issued. If the person applies for the licence within those 60 days, the person may keep working until the Authority grants the licence or until 14 days after the Authority gives written notice refusing the application. A licence holder who lodges a renewal application under r 490(1) or (2) no later than the expiry date may continue the licensed work until the Authority grants the renewal or, if it refuses, until 14 days after written notice of the refusal. Outside these windows the r 128 prohibition applies, so the person and the employer need proof of the notice date, the application date and any decision.
