A self-employed person must ensure, as far as reasonably practicable, that nobody is exposed to health or safety risks arising from the way the self-employed person conducts their undertaking. Maximum penalty: 1800 penalty units. The offence is indictable (s 24(2)), though it may be heard and determined summarily under the Criminal Procedure Act 2009 (s 28).
