Victoria Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 s22-1-b: s 22(1)(b) Monitor conditions at workplaces under the employer's control

An employer must, as far as reasonably practicable, monitor the conditions at every workplace it manages and controls. Monitoring covers atmospheric contaminants, noise, heat, lighting, the state of plant and structures, and the effectiveness of controls over time. Maximum penalty under s 22(1): 240 penalty units (individual) or 1200 penalty units (body corporate).
