US 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design 236-239: Exercise machines, fishing piers, golf and miniature golf facilities

What does 236-239 require?

Exercise equipment: one machine of each type must meet 1004 (clear floor space placed for transfer or use). Fishing piers and platforms meet 1005 (accessible route, railings and guards no higher than 34 inches along a quarter of the length, dispersed, edge protection, clear floor and turning space). Golf facilities follow 238: an accessible route or golf car passage joining the accessible elements within the course boundary and reaching the course, a compliant teeing ground per hole (two where more than two exist) per 1006.2, weather shelters, putting greens and 5 percent of practice teeing grounds per 1006.4, and golf car rental areas on an accessible route. Miniature golf: half the holes, consecutive (one break allowed), meet 1007.3, with an accessible route to the start of play and between the accessible holes.
