Uganda Occupational Safety and Health Act 2006
Parts III to VI: General duties of employers, the self-employed, controllers of premises, manufacturers and suppliers, and workers (sections 13 to 39) – Uganda Occupational Safety and Health Act 2006

Uganda Occupational Safety and Health Act 2006 17: Consultation with workers' organisations on their role in implementing the Act's measures and close collaboration at all levels, with an employer and a worker representative accompanying inspectors and authorised persons unless that would prejudice their work

What does 17 require?

To give effect to the Act, an employer acts in consultation with the workers' organisation, consulting it on its role in the practical implementation of the prescribed measures and providing, as far as possible, close collaboration between the employer and the workers at all levels in applying them. A representative of the employer and a representative of the workers accompany an inspector or authorised person supervising the application of prescribed measures, unless the inspector or authorised person considers that this would prejudice the performance of their duties.
