Subchapter F: fire alarm rules (34.601 to 34.630) – Texas State Fire Marshal Rules (28 TAC Chapter 34, Subchapters C, E, F and G)

Texas State Fire Marshal Rules (28 TAC Chapter 34, Subchapters C, E, F and G) 34.618: Three staged installation inspections by a licensed technician or planner, documented on the inspection form, with the AHJ told if corrective action lags ten days

The licensed firm inspects each installation at three points: when the device back boxes are in but before cabling starts, when cabling is complete but before devices are installed, and when devices are installed but before the system is activated. A licensed fire alarm technician or planner performs the inspections and records them on the Fire Alarm System Installation Inspection Form; if corrective action does not begin within ten calendar days the firm notifies the authority having jurisdiction; and the completed form is kept at the firm's office for five years from the date of certification.
