Every licence applicant must pass the appropriate tests, which may be supplemented by practical demonstrations: a section on the subchapter and Insurance Code chapter 6002 and a technical qualifying test run by the State Fire Marshal's Office, NICET, the Electronic Security Association or an outsourced testing service, using the standards adopted in section 34.607. The section goes on to set the retest, exemption and currency conditions for examinations.
