A worker of a reporting entity who becomes aware of a reportable allegation about, or reportable conviction of, a worker of the entity reports it to the head as soon as practicable, or to the QFCC if it concerns the head, unless the worker reasonably believes another person has already reported it (s 33(2), (3)). Anyone may notify the QFCC at any time (s 33(4)). The duty is not itself an offence (s 33(5)), so the entity's systems must make it real in practice.
