PEGI - Pan European Game Information Age Rating System 7: Article 7: PEGI system for age ratings

Before release, the signatory completes an Assessment File for every game and every format, which generates an age rating logo (3, 7, 12, 16 or 18) and descriptors giving the reasons for the category. The Administrator reviews each game in full before approving the rating and licensing the logo and descriptors, except that games rated through the IARC process may be checked after they go on sale; where the Administrator arrives at a different rating it explains why, and the signatory may appeal to the Complaints Board, whose decision is final. The signatory then receives a licence to show the logo and descriptors on the packaging, or somewhere immediately visible to buyers for digital delivery.
