PCI DSS 4.0
Req 1: Network Security Controls

PCI DSS 4.0 1.1.1: 1.1.1 Requirement 1 policies and procedures governed

Every security policy and operational procedure called for under Requirement 1 (network security controls) must meet four conditions: it is written down, it is kept current, it is actually followed in practice, and every party it affects is aware of it. This covers the whole set of Requirement 1 documents, such as ruleset standards, change handling for network connections, diagram upkeep and device controls. Applicability: no special notes; it applies to every assessed entity. Customized approach objective: personnel involved in Requirement 1 activities understand and follow defined expectations, controls and oversight, and the supporting work is repeatable, consistent and aligned with what management intends.

You are reading one control. How much of PCI DSS 4.0 have you already done?

PCI DSS 4.0 1.1.1 is one control. If you already hold one of the frameworks below, a reviewed crosswalk already says how much of PCI DSS 4.0 your existing evidence covers. Hold ISO 27001:2022 and 139 of 280 PCI DSS 4.0 controls already carry evidence.

Each report names every control your existing framework evidences, every one it does not, the reasoning behind each claim, and the claims that were argued against and rejected. 415 were rejected on the ISO 27001:2022 pair alone.
