NFPA 110-2025 Standard for Emergency and Standby Power Systems 6.4: 6.4 Bypass-isolation switches

Bypass-isolation switches are permitted; they must have ratings compatible with the transfer switch, be listed for emergency service as factory assembled and tested apparatus, act as an independent nonautomatic transfer switch with the ATS isolated, and allow reconnection of the ATS without an interruption longer than the type permits.
