Metering and Consumption Rules v2.6 – NABERS - National Australian Built Environment Rating System

NABERS - National Australian Built Environment Rating System MC-6: Handle non-utility meter data to the same 12-month standard

What does MC-6 require?

Chapter 6: non-utility data must carry the Table 6.2 fields (day-month-year dates, meter labels traceable to the single line diagram, cumulative readings or clearly unitised consumption, k-factors and kWh for electricity, meter pressure, pressure correction factor and heating value for gas, multipliers for water), kept at least 12 months. Each meter needs a complete continuous year; estimated non-utility data is never acceptable; anomalies are investigated. Cumulative meters are read at least as often as the parent utility meter and at least quarterly, on site unless on a validated remote system. Billing periods align with the primary account within 2 months, and combined and co-assess ratings share one period. Exclusion meters with gaps at the ends are entered unadjusted; inclusion meters are adjusted from compliant readings; mid-period gaps follow the utility method; non-cumulative data is never adjusted.
