Chapter 10: the Renewable Energy Indicator (REI) shows the share of energy from on-site generation and off-site procurement and does not change the star rating. It counts on-site electricity consumed where no LGCs were created or they were surrendered for the premises, surrendered LGCs for exports, the Renewable Energy Target share, state surrenders, accredited GreenPower and voluntarily surrendered off-site LGCs; LGCs sold make the electricity grid electricity, and exports without surrendered LGCs do not count; nothing may be estimated. GreenPower must be clearly accredited; decoupled purchases made before submission and confirmed for this premises and period only; bulk purchases evidenced per property. LGCs count only if voluntarily surrendered, created within 36 months before the rating period ends and surrendered before lodgement, shown in the REC Registry (confirmed, not pending); multi-building or retailer surrenders need an independent audit and the contract and schedule; periodic surrenders must fall within 6 months of the period end with at least annual audits. On-sold GreenPower or LGCs may be claimed by tenants with documentation.
The graph holds this control, the 0 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
