Metering and Consumption Rules v2.6 – NABERS - National Australian Built Environment Rating System

NABERS - National Australian Built Environment Rating System MC-4.3: Check sources against minimum coverage and run the office and retail cross-checks

What does MC-4.3 require?

4.3: every end use the building Rules require must be covered by an identified supply point, else by a Chapter 8 method; EV charging is outside minimum coverage (see 8.4). Sources feeding only out-of-coverage end uses are excluded only where these Rules permit. For office base building ratings all tenant meters are first treated as base building sources and tenant boards are checked for connected base building loads (cleaners' power, lifts, lobby lighting on whole-floor tenancies); for tenancy ratings base building boards are checked for tenant loads and supply from other floors' meters, main switchroom meters, UPS or essential power elsewhere, diesel backup and on-site renewables must be included. Similar checks apply to shopping centres and aged care. Evidence shows coverage met, every supply point identified and the distribution mapped to boards.
