JFS-B Standard Ver. 3.1 Food Safety Management (Japan) GMP 4: Control of hazards requiring enhanced control, cross-contamination and isolation

What does GMP 4 require?

Taking the hazard analysis of HACCP Step 6 as its starting point, the organization sets control measures for the significant hazards that need heightened attention but are not CCPs, and reviews them periodically to keep them effective. It guards raw materials (containers and packaging included), intermediates, work in progress, rework and finished goods against physical, chemical (allergens among them) and biological contamination and against cross-contamination, allergen cross-contact included. Whatever controls are needed, isolation among them, span the whole of food safety and are reviewed periodically.
