Japan Act on Specified Commercial Transactions (Act No. 57 of 1976) Art.22: Art. 22 Telemarketing conduct that grounds instructions

The minister may instruct a seller that breaches Articles 16 to 21 or refuses or unduly delays performance or refunds, intentionally withholds other important matters, solicits by telephone without good reason contracts for quantities, frequencies or periods markedly beyond ordinary needs or otherwise unsuitable to the customer's assets, or commits the ordinance acts; business suspension of up to two years and officer bans follow in serious cases (Articles 23, 23-2), all published.
