ITU Radio Regulations and Space Security Standards RES32: Resolution 32 (Rev.WRC-23): Short-duration non-GSO missions not subject to coordination

What does RES32 require?

Networks the administration identifies as short-duration missions operate on assignments not subject to Section II of Article 9, for no more than three years from bringing into use with no extension, with no more than 10 satellites (typically under 100 kg each) (resolves 1); they comply with the band's conditions, amateur-band missions stay within the amateur-satellite definition, and they must be able to cease transmitting immediately to eliminate harmful interference (resolves 2 to 4). Advance publication gives early orbital data; notification is sent only after launch and not later than two months after bringing into use, which is the launch date of the first satellite, with late notices marked non-conforming (Annex, sections 2 to 7).
