ISO/IEC 17043:2023
Clause 7.4 to 7.7: Evaluation, reporting, process control, complaints and appeals – ISO/IEC 17043:2023

ISO/IEC 17043:2023 7.4.1: Record and analyse results with validated data handling, outlier control and documented exclusions

What does 7.4.1 require?

Results received from participants are recorded and analysed by appropriate methods, with established procedures that check data entry, data transfer, the statistical analysis and the reporting for validity. Analysis generates summary statistics, performance statistics and related information in line with the statistical design; the effect of outliers on the summary statistics is minimised by an appropriate statistical approach; procedures cover the treatment of results from different methods where the scheme allows them; documented criteria and procedures deal with results unfit for statistical evaluation, such as miscalculations, transposed digits and other gross errors; and documented criteria and procedures identify and manage cases where distributed items and collected data prove unsuitable for evaluation through inhomogeneity, instability, damage or contamination.
