Following its periodic reviews, or at other suitable points, an organization should look for ways to raise its social responsibility performance, using what the reviews show to keep improving: revising targets and objectives as conditions change or ambitions rise; widening the reach of its activities and programmes; supplying more or different resources; and seizing opportunities it has newly spotted, with stakeholders' views gathered in reviews helping to reveal new openings and shifting expectations. Some organizations tie the meeting of particular social responsibility objectives to the regular appraisals of their senior executives and managers, which signals that the commitment is meant seriously.
