What does 6.6.7 require?

An organization should: adopt policies and practices that encourage respect for property rights and for traditional knowledge; investigate properly so it can be sure it holds legal title to use or dispose of property; avoid activities that breach property rights, among them counterfeiting, piracy and abuse of a dominant position; compensate fairly for property it takes over or uses; and, in exercising and defending its rights over intellectual and physical property, take account of what society expects, of human rights and of individuals' basic needs.
