Clause 6.6: Fair operating practices – ISO 26000:2010

ISO 26000:2010 6.6.5: Fair operating practices issue 3: Fair competition

What does 6.6.5 require?

To encourage fair competition, an organization should: act in line with competition law and regulation and work with the relevant authorities; put procedures and other safeguards in place so it neither engages in nor becomes complicit in anti-competitive conduct such as price fixing, bid rigging, predatory pricing or abuse of a dominant position; make employees aware of why complying with competition law and competing fairly matter; back anti-trust and anti-dumping practices and public policies that favour competition; and pay attention to the social setting it works in, never exploiting conditions such as poverty to gain an unfair advantage over competitors.
