Clause 6.6: Fair operating practices – ISO 26000:2010

ISO 26000:2010 6.6.2: Fair operating practices: principles and considerations

What does 6.6.2 require?

Ethical behaviour is the basis on which organizations build and keep legitimate, productive relationships with each other, so upholding, promoting and encouraging ethical standards sits beneath every fair operating practice. Avoiding corruption and engaging responsibly in politics depend on the rule of law being respected, on commitment to ethical standards, and on accountability and transparency; competing fairly and respecting property rights are only possible when organizations treat one another with honesty, fairness and integrity. These issues cover the organization's dealings with public agencies, partners, suppliers, contractors, customers, competitors and any association it belongs to.
