ISO 14001:2015 5.3: Organizational roles, responsibilities and authorities Top management makes sure responsibilities and authorities for the relevant roles are allocated and made known within the organization. It also gives named roles the responsibility and authority to make sure the environmental management system meets the standard's requirements, and to report to top management on how the system is performing, environmental performance included.
