Chapter 3.2.1: A corporate leadership culture (building blocks) – Cefic Responsible Care Management Framework

Cefic Responsible Care Management Framework 3.2.1-c: Management structure and board involvement

What does 3.2.1-c require?

Roles are defined, the board is involved, health, safety, environment, energy and sustainability (HSEE&S) matters are written into job descriptions and objectives, and good governance is applied to the processes that manage them. The worked maturity example on board involvement (webtool question 1.5) runs from a board not yet directly involved (Level 1), through a board consulted correctively on important issues (Level 2), to a board that is involved and briefed on how the management system affects the business, brand, acceptability, differentiation and efficiency (Level 3), to a board that acts as an ambassador for sustainability and leads by example (Level 4).
