Iowa Client Trust Account Rules (Iowa Court Rules Chapter 45) 45.2-3b: Signatory, deposit-intact and withdrawal safeguards on every trust account

What does 45.2-3b require?

Only a lawyer admitted in Iowa, or a person working under that lawyer's direct supervision, may sign on the trust account or authorise transfers out of it. Receipts are banked intact, and deposit records are detailed enough to identify each item. Money leaves the account only by cheque payable to a named payee (never to cash) or by an authorised bank transfer.
