A written risk assessment covers every registered site, structures included, and is reviewed at least once a year or whenever something changes (a new risk emerges, or a new site or crop enters production). It considers biological, chemical and physical hazards, allergens among them; the risk of microbial cross contamination coming from neighbouring or adjacent sites; the site's history for at least one year, with five years recommended; and how the planned activities could affect adjacent crops.
