DO-254 / ED-80 - Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware 6.3.2: 6.3.2 Analysis

Analysis is a detailed, repeatable evaluation of specific characteristics showing a requirement is met (for example stress, design margin, common mode, worst case and test coverage analysis), based on design data, service experience or other databases, and may examine functionality, performance, traceability and safety implications alone or with other methods. Simulation is a key analysis tool, including for production parameter variation, but its results alone cannot earn certification credit without evidence of their validity. Examples include thermal, stress (de-rating), reliability, design margin, similarity and simulation analysis.

What else in your programme already covers this

This control maps to 1 controls across 1 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.

  • CD-7 CD-7 Verification of implementation timing performance

Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
