BREEAM - Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method Ene 05: Ene 05 Energy efficient cold storage

For buildings with commercial or industrial refrigeration: one credit for energy efficient design, installation and commissioning under a strategy that a suitably qualified engineer prepares from the concept design stage, with heat loads minimised, at least half of the listed design features specified, controls that minimise temperature lifts and sub-metering of plant performance; and up to two further credits where the indirect greenhouse gas emissions of the refrigeration system are assessed and shown to be within the benchmark levels of the manual's methodology.
